Learning about my hair..Part 1

Today I learned that my hair type is 4C. 4C is the kinkiest of the kinkies, the coiliest of the coiliest and in my opinion the softest of them all. Over the last few days I have laughed about my hair and I have cried about my hair. Many surprises have happened and me finding out about my hair type is one of them. I promise that I will not become a product junkie, I have 5 kids and my hubby wont allow it plus I am learning from others mistakes. My hair journey is a mere science experiment.

Tonight’s Experiment:

After last nights Eco Style disaster, tonight I spritzed my hair with water and applied my pre poo. I washed my hair with the Cream of Nature Shampoo, Deep Conditioned with Giovanni’s Smooth as silk conditioner and detangled, I must say that I LOVE the way my hair feels while its wet.

Afterwards, I parted my hair down the middle and applied a little of the Giovanni as a leave in and also carols daughter Black Vanilla  Leave in  Spray conditioner and Olive oil spray that I made. This is where the experiment began. Curious on whether or not my hair is twistable (I have read online that it is not) I decide to twist half of my unbelievably soft detangled hair with no extra product. The other half, I decided to twist using the IC fantasia mousse. the very back of my hair, that is the softest and curliest hair that I have ever felt (and I am not just saying that because its mine) I decided not to twist it, I applied the mousse to the damp hair and marveled as I watched the lovely curls form. I put on my satin bonnet and prayed that it works  out in the am.

Here are a few pics.
